Paraffin is derived from crude oil - it's made of the slushy stuff in the bottom of the oil barrel, which is bleached after they have taken out what they want to use for fuel and tar manufacture. ‘They’ being the massive oil conglomerates of the world—tell your friends & family to support the farming industry instead!

Soy Wax on the other hand is a completely natural and renewable resource. The soybeans produced to make the wax used in TiamaDess Natural Soy Candles are NOT Genetic Engineered. The wax is actually a type of vegetable oil!

Due to it's lower melting temperature, it also requires less manufacturing time. This is just another reason why it is better for the environment to use soy candles in your home  - much less greenhouse gas emissions during production of TiamaDess Natural Soy Candles than paraffin creates!

The soybeans are crushed to produce many things, and the extracted oil (which is actually a bi-product) is hydrogenated which changes the melting point and composition so that it solidifies at room temperature. It releases fragrance naturally and for longer. Soy wax candles actually last for up to 65% longer than paraffin candles, making them much better value all round.

We use only the finest quality wax to ensure your candles are the best you can buy. It has a superior top finish and allows a magnificent scent throw.

The fragrant oils we use to scent your candles are also of the finest quality & strength and are sourced from only the best suppliers. Each scent is made up of a unique blend of natural oils and/or aroma compounds. Be wary of 'double' or 'triple' scented candles as each candle should contain no more than 6% fragrance to ensure the best burning result.
